FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

School starts at 7:00 am each day and all pupils will be ready to pick up in the afternoon at 3:15pm each day except the form three (3). During the day in order to ease congestion in the canteen for example, there are slightly different timings for Recreation; Pre School 2 to the Junior High School. There are a few occasions such as end of term days where the pick up time maybe be earlier. All of these occasions will be communicated to parents through our various social media platforms; the notice board and the schools' website on our comprehensive events listings on the Home page & also on the News & Events page.
The answer is No. Attending school is a compulsory obligation that parents must adhere to and therefore, you should avoid taking your child out of school. If you wish to have a special case considered then, you are required to complete a request for leave of absence form which can be requested from the school office. The school has a policy around attendance where full details of the requirements and penalties can be found.
We ask that pupils do not wear jewellery to school. Small stud earrings can be worn. Schools are busy places and we find that jewellery can cause unnecessary accidents.
If you need someone else to come to the school to pick up your child, please speak to the class teacher in the morning or leave a message with the Headmaster, Academic Head, or the Administration office. Your child Should have a data overview sheet with people who are allowed to pick him / her.
If your child has chicken pox or any contagious diseases, we ask that you treat them quickly to ensure that they do not spread. If we notice that your child has chicken pox or any contagious diseases during the school day, we will contact you to inform you. Such disease must be treated completely before the child returns to school.
If your child needs to have medication at school you must complete a form at the school sick bay through the headmaster or administration. We ask that all medication at school is kept with the school nurse and the child reports at the sick bay at prescribed intervals for the medication.
Creator Schools offer a lot of enrichment activities for children to get involved in. For Example Cadets, Baseball, Red cross, Maths and Science Club, ICT and Robotics, Home Gardening, Music and Drama etc for additional learning opportunities to discover / improve their talents. If you have any concerns about your child’s academics / moral progress, we ask that you arrange an appointment through the head of academic board of the school to talk to your child’s class teacher or school counselor.
Children in recreation for Pre - School 1and 2 have one hour for their lunch, the rest of the school have 30 minutes.
At Creator Schools, we have a sick bay which is well stocked with first-aid medication and it is managed by a professional certified nurse. All Teaching Assistants are first aid trained and can offer reassurance and first aid to pupils who are injured at school. If the injury is significant we inform parents and take the child to a nearby hospital with the consent of the parents for appropriate attention.
All pupils at all levels are to put on the prescribed school uniforms. Pre - School - Specially designed dress. Primary - Girls - Pinafore / deep blue and school material (plitted skirt and top) Boys - Deep blue shorts and school material for shirt Junior High School - Girls - Deep blue and school material (plitted skirt and top) Boys - Deep blue shorts and school material for shirt Note: Uniforms will be purchased in the school. The school has a second ceremonial uniforms which every pupil must have. its usage will be directed by the school head ALL UNIFORMS MUST MATCH WITH BLACK SHOE AND WHITE SOCKS.
1. Pupils who come to school in dirty uniforms will be asked to go back home to clean them. 2. Inspection of teeth, finger nails, underwears will be held twice weekly. 3. Pupils must always carry handkerchiefs / face towels to school.
There is a team of counsellors in the school who provide counselling services to pupils who have learning and attitudinal challenges. Some disciplinary measures include verbal warnings, counselling, picking the compounds, washing dust bins, sweeping classrooms, taking away privileges, asking students to write apology letters, reading and summarizing specifics portions of story books etc.
Promotion is made at the end of every academic year i.e third term. Promotion is based on the performance of the child in the promotion examination and internal assessments for the year. Promotion is automatic at any level.
A term's notice should be given in writing to the school head or a term's fees in lieu of notice would be demanded before relevant documents would be released. If a child is absent from school more than two weeks without permission and any explanation, the school shall presume that the child has been withdrawn from Creator so his /her place will be offered to one of the many seeking admissions to the school.
No, school fees paid are non - refundable. Fees are payable either in full or two installment before mid term holiday. 2. Payments must be made in cash or bankers draft. Personal cheques are not accepted. 3. Pupils whose fees are not paid before examination would not be allowed to take the paper; be it mid term or end of term examination. Special assessment fees should be paid before pupils write assessment.
