Creator Schools, Tema, has once again carved a niche for itself as an institution worth celebrating, when the The West Africa International Press, publishers of the renowned and widely read New West Africa International Magazine, presented the school with a certificate of recognition and a plaque for being The Topmost Disciplined Private Basic School in Ghana for the Year 2025.
Creator Schools, represented by the school’s MD, Rev. Evelyn Gyampa Markin and the Headmaster, Mr. Bekoe Mark Yirenkyi, became a proud recipient of the prestigious international award at an impressive awards ceremony christened, “Heroes of Distinction Awards” organised at the plush Accra City Hotel on Wednesday, 22nd April, 2026 under the distinguished patronage of Dr. T. Otibu Asare, the CEO of the West African International Press. Besides the school, fourteen other individuals and corporate institutions were also duly recognized under the Platinum and Gold categories. Present at the ceremony were some media houses and some personalities from academia. The Chairman for the occasion was Dr. Noble Nana Yaw Boadi Appiah, President of The Regent University for Science and Technology.
In his welcome address, Dr. Otibu Asare said that his publication had for the past 19 years created a platform through which critical issues that confronted the West-African sub-region were highlighted. He intimated with pride that The Heroes of Distinction Awards which had been operationalized for 15 years unabated has contributed to celebrating West Africans who had distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour.
Speaking at the function on the theme,” Resetting our Public Institutions, a Panacea for Rapid Economic Recovery,” the Deputy Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications and Deputy Government Spokesperson at the presidency (The Jubilee House), Hajia Shamimma Moslem, said that the theme for the occasion was in tandem with the NDC government’s Reset Agenda. She expressed the need for a change in the mindset of the citizenry and called for a positive work ethics in public service delivery. The MD of Creator Schools, in a brief statement, expressed profound delight for the honour bestowed on the school. She dedicated the award to the departed memory of the school’s Founder, Rev. Comfort Chemfe Adjarko.
