Speech Delivered by the Schools Prefect Torvike Tornyeli Tordjro on the 31st Graduation, Speech & Prize-Giving Day at Creator Schools.

A SPEECH BY MASTER TORNYELI TORVIKE, SENIOR SCHOOL PREFECT TO COMMEMORATE THE 31ST SPEECH AND PRIZE-GIVING DAY OF CREATOR SCHOOLS, TEMA. SATURDAY, 11TH JULY, 2026.

Honourable Chairperson for this auspicious occasion, Our Motherly Managing Director, The Affable Director in charge of our Preschool Department, Distinguished Guests, great facilitators, beloved parents, pacesetting Members of The Creator Old Students’ Association (CROSA) Fellow Exiting students, Continuing learners, Ladies and gentlemen.

In my capacity as the Outgoing Senior Prefect of Creator Schools for the 2025/2026 academic year, I deem it an exceptional mark of honour to be assigned the responsibility of presenting my handover speech on the occasion of the 31st Speech and Prize-Giving Day of the school.

Ladies and gentlemen. A year ago at this same arena, I took the oath of office as Senior School Prefect of this great school and pledged my unwavering commitment to partner my fellow prefects to provide leadership for the student front and by extension, complement the efforts of our teachers to enforce the rules and regulations governing our conduct as students in this esteemed school.

As sure as the sun will rise in the east and set in the west, the months fizzled into weeks, the weeks into days, and the days into hours and by God’s limitless grace, we are also today handing over the baton of student governance to our successors down the academic ladder. As the adage goes, “Individuals would come and go but society would remain”.

Honourable Chairperson. Indeed, a lot of water had gone under the bridge since we assumed office 12 months ago.

On the credit side of the balance sheet of my stewardship, I wish to gladly state that my fellow prefects and I have acquired a lot of useful leadership traits such as humility, tolerance, team work and service among other important virtues imbibed in us by courtesy of the impactful weekly leadership seminar introduced by the Management of our school. We are exceptionally grateful and hope to replicate these traits beyond the boundaries of this school. Thank you Creator Schools once again for equipping us for life.

Furthermore, my administration chalked tremendous success in the areas of sensitizing our classmates and our juniors on the need for neatness and proper dressing and maintaining a clean environment, in conformity with the cherished values of our school. In our own small way, we brought to book students who flouted rules with impunity.

Ladies and gentlemen, since discipline is one of the most priced identities of our school, we made lateness to school and at social gatherings an unattractive habit as we ensured that habitual latecomers were not left off the hook but served some forms of punishment to serve as a deterrent to others.

Ladies and gentlemen. It must be said, however, that my tenure of office was not insulated against challenges for as it is said, “Perfection is not an attribute of human endeavours”. In reality, my biggest challenge hinged on some of my own year mates whose unruly behaviours and lackerdaisical attitude towards academic tasks not only caused our teachers profuse pain but also stretched their patience to their elastic limits. On behalf of the 2026 graduating class, I wish to sincerely apologize to all our teachers and ask for their unconditional forgiveness. Though we are completing school today, we shall continue to seek the wise counsel and guidance of our knowledgeable teachers for as it is often said, “Once a teacher, always a teacher.

In conclusion, I will like to thank the Board of Directors for investing handsomely in the requisite infrastructure and tools that enhanced our holistic development. We also profoundly salute our purpose-driven school Management for all the academic and social programmes which they engineered and implemented to our benefit.

To our teachers from the creche through the JHS, we doff our hats to you for equipping us with the desired aptitudes, attitudes and skills necessary for our journey of life. Through your untiring efforts, our horizons of knowledge have been broadened beyond measure. We deeply appreciate the monumental roles you played as our mentors and most importantly as our substitute parents.

Indeed, on a scale of one and ten, you are an eleven.Fellow students, Ladies and gentlemen. May I humbly crave your indulgence to applaud our teachers.

I wish to assure our school authorities of our steely resolve to be worthy ambassadors of Creator wherever we will find ourselves beyond the frontiers of this school.

Thank you, precious parents for painstakingly nurturing us, believing in us and above all, investing your limited in our education thus far. Beloved parents, rest assured that your sacrifices will not be in vain for as Aristotle, a celebrated philosopher once espoused, “The roots of education are bitter, but its fruits are sweet.”

Finally, I will like to urge you the continuing learners, our juniors, not to rest on your oars, but to continue to be wise and seek knowledge as our school motto stipulates and enjoins us to do. Remember that, Hard work pays, but laziness brings sadness and regrets.

On this note, Honourable Chair, Ladies and gentlemen. I Thank you all manifold for the privilege to address you this day.

LONG LIVE CREATOR SCHOOLS, LONG LIVE GHANA.
